  Gin Ferrara, Executive Director 
Gin founded Wide Angle Community Media in 2000, as a means to provide ongoing media education resources to Baltimore communities. She has been a media educator for over 12 years, working with youth through Baltimore Youth Television, Kids on the Hill, on the Wind River Indian Reservation and the Navajo Nation. Gin has also been a digital video editor, graphic designer, and illustrator. She received her BFA from Alfred University, and has studied film and video at University of Maryland, Baltimore County. gin@wideanglemedia.org

Susan Hayman, Program Director

Susan joined Wide Angle in 2003, as the Program Director, managing our youth media workshops and public events, including the “Who Are You?” Youth Media Festival, Baltimore Youth Speak Out on Education, and the Wide Angle Video Extravaganza. She graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art with her BFA in photography and has been working in the Baltimore art community for the past 10 years. She was a Co-Founder of Photoworks, and has been an arts administrator at Maryland Art Place, Mission Media and the Baltimore Museum of Art.

#media_75# Sheila Wells, Festival Coordinator
Sheila is a graduate of Maryland Institute, College of Art. She has a strong interest in advocacy filmaking, much of which she has gained through her previous experience with the local non-profit Megaphone Project.  Her latest solo work, “Geophoria”, recently screened at Baltimore’s own Microcinefest in the fall of 2006.  Sheila has worked with Wide Angle for one year, as an Assistant Media Instructor for the Mentoring Video Project, the Youth Festival Committee, and Girls Speak Out! Now, thanks to an Americorps fellowship, she joined Wide Angle as the Festival Coordinator in the Fall of 2007.  sheila@wideanglemedia.org

  Sarah Milinski, Media Instructor
Sarah has called Baltimore home for the past three and a half years. During her stay in Charm City, she realized her interests involved youth produced media as well as alternative education programs.  She is pleased to join Wide Angle staff as a Media Instructor with the Baltimore Speaks Out! Program at the Pennsylvania Avenue Library. sarah

Siobhan Marie Robinson, MVP Coordinator

Siobhan Marie Robinson is an independent documentary filmmaker from the Big Apple. She received her BA in theater from Spelman College and MA in Performance Studies in Film from New York University Tisch School of the Arts. Siobhan has traveled the world (only Ghana and Peru actually) conducting film and cultural performance projects. Currently, Siobhan lives in Maryland fighting for social justice through media.

Arnon Shorr, Assistant Media Instructor
Arnon recently arrived in Baltimore from the Greater Boston area, where he taught film and media courses.  He brings with him a film studies degree from Brandeis University, as well as a decade of experience as an independent fiction filmmaker.  Through his company, OxRock Productions, Arnon has produced and directed numerous short films in various genres.  He is currently working on several short films, and on expanding his company’s new consulting division. He oves teaching, and can’t stay away from it for too long – as such, is thrilled to be joining the Wide Angle team as an assistant instructor.”

David Sloan, MVP Coordinator

David is a community artist pursuing a master's degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where he obtained a BFA in sculpture in 2007. He has worked as a curator at the Contemporary Museum, is currently working to build a community radio station in East Baltimore, and will also be collaborating with the Baltimore Algebra Project in the months ahead. As a member of the Wide Angle staff, his skills as an artist and educator will continue to interact with his concern for social justice through media production.
