Destiny Brown is a young filmmaker and actress born and raised in Baltimore, MD. She began at Wide Angle as the lead actress for a CSX train safety video, but continued to work with Wide Angle as an intern youth producer for over a year and a half before transitioning to the part-time staff. She is the youngest person to have been hired as a part-time staff member at 16 years old. Despite her young age, she has created a national award-winning film, traveled to South Africa to film internationally, and has spoken on numerous panels including Light City and Grantmakers for Education. Destiny is entering her senior year at the Baltimore School for the Arts but is also dually-enrolled as a college freshman at Baltimore City Community College in order to gain credits before she transitions to college. Her goal is to dual major in screen-acting and filmmaking with a minor in psychology at New York University. Although her main focus is screen-acting, Wide Angle has allowed her the opportunity to grow an immense passion for filmmaking and directing as well, which she plans to carry with her as she prepares for college next year.
