Jason Loviglio

Jason Loviglio is an associate professor and the founding director of Media and Communication Studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He received his Ph.D. in American Studies in 1999 at the University of Minnesota and his BA from Wesleyan University. He is the author of Radio’s Intimate Public: Network Broadcasting and Mass-Mediated Democracy. He is also co-editor (with Michele Hilmes) of Radio Reader: Essays in the Cultural History of Radio and of Radio’s New Wave: Global Sound in the Digital Era. He also serves on the Faculty Advisory Board of the Shriver Center at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Member since 2013.
