Shewana Skinner is an Intellectual Property lawyer in Washington DC specializing in Patent Law. She is a Sole Practitioner providing services for various government and private entities. She has twelve years of intellectual property protection education and experience. Shewana is a member of the Institute for Intellectual Property and Social Justice (IIPSJ) where she services underrepresented communities and frequently speaks on panels about intellectual property and entrepreneurship. Prior to her legal career, Shewana worked as a Certified Six Sigma Blackbelt for Ford Motor Corporation where she led vehicle manufacturing and facilitated techniques for process improvement throughout North America. Shewana is a graduate of Howard University School of Law in Washington D.C., and holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in Greensboro, N.C.
