Lisa Twiss is a Training and Learning Specialist at the Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University, where she empowers local governments to put residents at the heart of innovation. With a passion for helping cities design bold, creative solutions, Lisa equips public servants with the skills and mindsets they need to make lasting, positive change for their communities.
Before joining BCPI, Lisa built a dynamic career in education over a 30-year span— from teaching in Baltimore City Public Schools to leading curriculum design at the Maryland Institute College of Art, coordinating technology initiatives and teaching at McDaniel College, and lecturing full-time at Towson University, where she also earned her doctorate. A lifelong advocate for learning and community, Lisa remains deeply connected to Baltimore and dedicated to nurturing the next generation of changemakers.
