Emma Bergman

MEDIA INSTRUCTOR

Emma Bergman is a performer, collaborator, artist, and educator based in Baltimore, MD. She holds a BFA in Interarts Performance from the University of Michigan and is a founding member of the performance collective Call Your Mom. Her work centers on collaboration, whether with her performance collective, a group of students, an audience, or other members of a production crew. She is an experienced interviewer, and pairs that skill set with audio production and editing to work on documentary films and oral history collections. As a facilitator of media and performance workshops, Emma has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of people from elementary, middle, and high school students to adults at a social justice power summit and inmates in a correctional facility. In her work with Wide Angle, Emma is interested in exploring how media skills give young people the agency to amplify their own voices and connect with their communities.
